Over- or under-reactivity to sensory input (light, sound, touch, movement)
Delays in communication, social interaction, restricted/repetitive behaviors
Inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity that affects daily functioning
Significantly below-average intellectual functioning with adaptive skill deficits
Non-progressive motor disorder due to brain injury affecting movement and posture
Genetic condition with intellectual disability and physical developmental delays
Genetic disorder causing intellectual disability, especially in boys
Motor planning disorder affecting speech production
Motor planning and coordination difficulties
May cause developmental regression or cognitive impairment
Neurological disorder involving motor and vocal tics
These may involve new onset or progression of neurological impairment, and may benefit from speech, occupational, and/or physical therapy.
Speech/language difficulties (aphasia), motor weakness, balance issues
Impacts memory, attention, communication, physical coordination
Movement disorder: tremors, rigidity, speech/swallowing difficulties
Autoimmune disorder impacting motor, sensory, visual, and speech functions
Progressive muscle weakness including speech and swallowing
Memory loss, communication issues, impaired daily function
Language impairment affecting speaking, understanding, reading, and writing
Motor planning issue; person knows what to do but cannot execute movement correctly
Weakness in speech muscles causing slurred or slow speech
Swallowing difficulties, common in stroke, Parkinson’s, ALS
Nerve damage affecting mobility, fine motor skills, or coordination
Genetic condition with movement, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms
Sudden onset muscle weakness, may require rehab for motor/speech recovery
